I have a shoe obsession. I’ve always thought that you could tell what kind of person someone was by the shoes they wear. In my opinion, the type of shoes you wear say so much about you. My favorite style of shoes are heels of course. What I like about them is that they make me feel confident, powerful and feminine.

These boots right here are my most current obsession. They are from Asos. I have been dying to buy these and I finally did it. I haven’t seen anybody around Austin wear them but so many girls in Europe own them. I know that because I follow a lot of bloggers that are from Europe. Thats actually how I discovered them. It was like love at first sight.

The glitter I think makes the shoes extra girly and more fun. They are grungy but girly. The platform of the shoes I like as well because it adds a couple of inches. I think that you can wear these with almost everything and that is definitely a plus. It was a little early Christmas present to myself.

It is now the end of the semester and I have had so much fun learning new things and starting a blog. This site alone has been very helpful and fun. Being able to see how a blog actually works and just getting to play around with it has taught me so much. I don’t think that any of the tools on here were not effective, its just a matter of getting the hang of it. If I could change anything on WordPress it would be to make things move around easier to my liking.

I definitely think that having this blog has opened my eyes a little more about blogging. I’ve previously talked about always wanting to start a blog just never got around to it. So the fact that I had to do this now really showed me what it’s kind of about. I will for sure be blogging more in the future. I want to master this and make it more exciting for you guys to read. Of course with needing more practice thats is probably what I will be doing on here for now.

 

Having a blog I think will help my in the future not only because I love doing this, but because it will help me interact with other bloggers and people that have the same interests as I.

 

 

As for my stats on here, I didn’t ever expect for other people to actually be interested in reading what I had to say. Only because I just started and I’m not well known in this industry. One of my most popular weeks on here was the week of October 29th. I posted three times that week which is probably why it was my most viewed. Consistency is key! I had seven views and five visitors that week.

My most popular blog post so far has been the first I ever did actually. It was the “All About Me” one. Racking up twenty-five views, I was shocked. My opinion on why its the most viewed is probably because my blog was new to this site. People must have just stumbled upon it and saw that I was a new and upcoming blogger on WordPress.

The most surprising thing to see on my stats page was that most of my viewers are actually not from America. It’s funny because most of the fashion bloggers that I follow on social media are foreign. What a coincidence! I would still love to continue this blog and just overall get better at it. My other social medias are also on here if you are more interested in taking a look into my life. Todays topic is going to be more about my friends and the style that we all share. I would say that my closest girl friends all love to look good. Anytime we have an event to go to or just want to go out together, we always love to dress up. When ever we go shopping even if it’s alone we love to share what we bought with each other.

Some of the photos here show you our individuality with the kind of style that we each have. I would also mention that we are all so different but still very much alike. We get excited to go anywhere fun because we know that we can dress up and try to look our best. A sense of style is something that we’ve always had in common with each other.

Now out of all of us girls, I am the only one going to school for fashion. We all chose different paths out of high school, but that’s just how much I love it. They all know how much I am into fashion and how badly I want to work in the industry. Maybe by how you see these photos and what they wear, you can tell by what type of person they would lean towards. Hope you enjoy this little glimpse into my more personal life.

So this is a video I made with the help of others for my FDOM class. We interviewed a few of our family members asking them what they liked most about the holidays!

 

When wearing accessories, there are so many different and personal preferences that everyone has. A lot of the time, it depends on where you are going, what you are going to be doing, and even who you are going to be with. I think that a persons accessories says a lot about them. That is one way to figure out what type of style they are going for. Of course your actual outfit says it all but in my opinion, the accessories add character.

To wearing the most daintiest type of jewelry to very broad, colorful, or chunky type of pieces says so much. I personally like my accessories to be broad type of pieces that make my outfit. On the days where I go to class or just running errands, I will wear a lot of dainty jewelry. I don’t like to draw to much attention to myself on days like that, so I try to keep it simple.

My two favorite types of accessories are definitely earrings and purses. My earring collection has actually gotten a bit out of hand! I love earrings to act as my statement piece on special occasions. I like them to be colorful, bold and different looking. Same goes for my bags; I usually wear neutral colors, so I like for my bag and/or accessories to be the color of my outfits. I save a lot of random photos of accessories that I like on Pinterest and eventually end up getting them.

 

Peace Love Shea is a blog that I’ve been looking at for a couple of years now. Her content is much different than any others I’ve stumbled upon. It consists of fashion, beauty, and health. Her style, the way she edits her photos; I would say that her style is girly, but chic in a high end, retro kind of way. Most of what she wears is high end fashion, but who doesn’t love that? Its something to look up to, something to aspire to.

Shea Marie has worked with so many brands, and travels the world doing it too. She inspires me to do the same. She is a stylist, creative consultant, influencer, and does many other things as well in the fashion industry. I love reading her blogs because you can really tell that its coming from her. It’s not a lot to read, which I like, but its just enough to know where she was or who she is wearing. I did notice that some of her posts aren’t available to see, which I thought was a little odd.

But anyways, I also was surprised at the fact that she actually studied communications and journalism. I would of thought because of who she is now, she would have gone with something along the lines of fashion, but as you can see if worked out for her! I myself am studying in communications but with a fashion minor. I hope that one day I can be doing what she is, or something similar for that matter. Everyone always asks me what I use on my hair. For years I stayed with my natural hair color which as you can see, are the roots. I’ve had blonde hair for the longest; I think it looks the best. I never knew how hard it was to maintain it until I dyed it and wanted to keep it. All the products that I use have saved me a lot of money and have kept my hair healthy.

My personal preference of blonde is an ashy, cool tone kind of color. I never liked that yellow type of look and to be honest, its really not a good look on most. So instead of going to the hair salon every two months, I use purple shampoo. Its supposed to take out those brassy tones out of your hair! It is a super vibrant and rich color or purple. The one I use is from Matrix called “so silver” https://www.ulta.com. That one specifically is meant for people that dye their hair silver or white. This shampoo in particular is just a faster way of getting the color that I want and desire. I use it about once a week as a color treatment.

As for my regular shampoo and conditioner, I buy the John Frida ones, for blondes of course. They have a pair for almost every hair color. These are a way lighter color of purple to help maintain the color that you already have. So I use these a lot more often, but will use that same conditioner when I use the purple shampoo as well. Now because of these products, I don’t have to go to the salon nearly as much as I should for the color that I have!

 

We all know that every year and even season, there are certain things that start trending.  They are all different every year, of course some things come back into fashion but history does repeat itself. Some of those trends are not always what we like, but they are trending for a reason. That means if you wear some of these trends at the time that they are trending, you be will in style! who doesn’t like or want to be fashionable?

The reasoning behind how these trends come about I do not know, I wish I did. I do know that the research behind it all deals with finding textures, colors, seasons, textiles, etc. The knowledge with finding out whats trending, I think is fascinating. I always like to know about what are the latest trends because I like to be in style myself. There are only a couple every season, but here are some of Fall 2018.

Colorful plaids, Statement bows, red and pink, and animal print are this seasons hottest colors, and prints to wear. One thing that I can tell you is that every season is always going to have a color or two that are going to be trending. For instance, red and pink are the colors to be wearing this Fall. I have never been a fan of bows, but once I see someone where them in a way that I think is unique and beautiful, is the day that I won’t think that they are that bad. I definitely wouldn’t mind them on accessories! Colorful plaids as well, I think once paired with the right clothing items, it will look amazing. As for animal print, I think that it will always be in style. Some seasons more than others but I do think that most fashionable people will always think that a little animal print in their wardrobe will always be a must. Zara is really good for selling what is currently trending and that is my go to source. https://www.zara.com/us/

 

These are some of the products I bought last week at Sephora and I wanted to share them with you, because I’m currently obsessed! I’ve been wanting to buy these for sometime now, and finally splurged. Now, here you can see that I got a little bit of everything and I’ve heard great stuff about all of them. I won’t talk about all of these right now but definitely will be soon! The ones that I’ve already tried are amazing! Smash box foundation I had to get because it is the newest on the market. It is very light weight but has buildable coverage and doesn’t look cakey at all; It’s my new current favorite. Now, the Volition eye gel is a must in your skin care regimen if you have problems with dry under eyes, puffiness, or even just want to make your under eye area look a little more youthful. Too Face’s Hangover primer not only smells like coconuts, but it does three different things! It primes, sets, and refreshes your face; You can literally use this whenever and however and it’ll make your makeup look better and last longer too.
